TCU quarterback Kenny Hill tallied a season-high in the turnover department last Saturday in the Frogs' 14-7 loss at No. 25 Iowa State.
Hill threw two interceptions and fumbled the ball once. Both picks came in critical situations when the Frogs' desperately needed a score.
Yet, on Monday's Big 12 media teleconference, blaming Hill for the loss was the furthest thing from Coach Patterson's mind.
"Everybody's struggled throwing the football against Iowa State," Patterson said. "Bottom line to it, we needed to put him in better situations."
Hill's first interception came when TCU was already close to the goal line.
