When it rains, it pours, they say, and that was certainly the case Friday in Fort Worth. After several hours of will they or won’t they, the NCAA made the call to push the start of the Fort Worth Regional to Saturday.
Game one, between the Virginia Cavaliers and Dallas Baptist Patriots will take place at 2:00pm Saturday afternoon after originally being scheduled for 3:00pm Friday. TCU’s opening game with Central Connecticut State gets pushed to a 7:00pm Saturday evening start.
The thought process at this point is that the teams will try and add a third game Sunday as they try and make up for the lost day.
