Just when Big 12 fans thought there just might be a ray of College Football Playoff hope for the conference, along came Saturday.
The Big 12's hopes for the CFP went from remote to small enough that you might need the Hubble Space Telescope to locate them.
Within a few hours, the conference lost its last two unbeaten teams when Oklahoma State upset West Virginia and Texas stunned Baylor. For all the national love the past week, West Virginia stumbled in a difficult road atmosphere against a quality opponent. Despite gaining 624 yards total offense, Baylor couldn't overcome curious play calls (especially on the final series) and personnel decisions.
