West Monroe has become quite the pipeline for Gary Patterson and TCU. The 6'3", 260 pound DE is just the latest in a long line of defensive players to commit to TCU, and he is the highest-rated yet.
Collins, who narrowed down his choice to the Frogs and Hogs before giving Patterson the good news, was being closely watched by LSU and Alabama, but had not been extended an official offer by either school. Collins is the fourth player from Louisiana powerhouse West Monroe to sign with TCU during the Gary Patterson era, following Chucky Hunter (2011) and Terrell Lathan, Connor Osborne, and James McFarland (2012).
