Four Big 12 teams found themselves in the latest edition of the AP top 25 poll. Oklahoma (No. 7) remains the top-ranked local team, while West Virginia (No. 9) and Texas (No. 19) both held onto their spots in the top 25 after Week 5 wins.
Oklahoma State bounced back after a Week 4 loss to Texas Tech by topping Kansas and re-entering the top 25 at No. 25.
Even though Texas and Oklahoma both had impressive Week 5 wins -- Oklahoma doubled up Baylor, 66-33, as QB Kyler Murray threw for 6 TDs and Texas picked up its first road win against Kansas State in 16 years -- each school actually dropped one spot in the AP poll compared to their standing last week.
