The Big 12 actually has been playing football for the first half of the 2016 season.
It wasn’t just exploring expansion to the exclusion of everything else, although it sometimes seemed that way. Nor did things end after a less-than-impressive non-conference schedule.
At the mid-point more or less for the conference, things look a little different than most people expected.
