1. Big 12 to-do list.
Don’t expect the Big 12 to match the drama and intrigue of 2016 when expansion talk was rampant and consultants were giving presentations to the conference on its College Football Playoff chances with 10 or 12 or 14 playoff teams. The Big 12 decided not to expand but brought back a football championship at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Many details need to be worked out, Commissioner Bob Bowlsby acknowledged Thursday. Among them: the time, the day and the payout that the Big 12 will get from Fox and ESPN in alternating years.
