The Big 12 announced its preseason honors for the upcoming women’s basketball season this week.
TCU had one player selected to the All-Big 12 Team -- senior forward Amy Okonkwo. Okonkow is coming off a season in which she averaged 14.4 points and 5.8 rebounds.
Two other Frogs were selected honorable mention -- Adeola Akomolafe and Jordan Moore.
Baylor and Texas garnered the most honors.
The preseason player of the year is Baylor’s Kalani Brown, who averaged a double-double last season (20.1 points, 10.2 rebounds). The newcomer of the year, meanwhile, is Texas’ Danni Williams.
