The Aggies (6-0) are ninth following Sunday's 75-59 road win against No. 10 Southern Cal, which dropped four spots to No. 14. The win was A&M's second this season over a top 15 team and the first away victory over a top 10 team since the Aggies knocked off No. 6 Kansas in 2007.
This is the highest A&M has been ranked in the AP poll since it was eighth on Feb. 1, 2016.
A&M wasn't the only local team to earn a spot in the top 25.
Baylor (5-0) moved up six places to No.
