Here are five thoughts following TCU football's 27-3 win over Texas Tech:
Robinson's rookie promise
Freshman quarterback Shawn Robinson gave a solid effort in his first collegiate start. Considering he learned that he would be replacing regular starter Kenny Hill just days ago, TCU couldn't have asked for much more. His line wasn't impressive, completing only 6-of-17 passes for 85 yards and a score. But, few of his passes were dangerous. He put in two halves of... almost mistake free football.
His third-quarter fumble was caused by a strip in traffic. It wasn't a bad gaffe.
