Texas QB Sam Ehlinger got the nod over Oklahoma newcomer Jalen Hurts when the media voted for this year's preseason All-Big 12 football team. Ehlinger was voted as first-team QB and as the conference's preseason offensive player of the year.
Hurts, an Alabama transfer, didn't come away empty-handed, though. He was voted as the conference's newcomer of the year.
Hurts' teammate, LB Kenneth Murray, was voted as the preseason defensive player of the year.
