2017 CWS: Frogs Burst Aggies’ Bubble (Again): Quick Thoughts

Related Topics: College World Series

The Frogs sent the Aggies home from the College World Series this afternoon, with a 4-1 victory. TCU-A&M games have become epic, with emotions running high among fans. Today’s game was no different, though it was shorter than the Super Regional games the last two years. Some quick thoughts and stats from today’s game:

-A&M Pitcher Stephen Kolek was rattled from the start, walking the first two batters he faced (Austin Wade and Zach Humphreys). Kolek went on to last less than 3 innings, which was apparently the A&M standard for this CWS.

-The Frogs made us all nervous when Wade was caught stealing third in the bottom of the 1st, giving us flashbacks of the loss to Florida on Sunday.
