After his start on Sunday was rained out, Tanaka will get the ball on Tuesday. He has not recorded a decision in two starts since coming off the DL (hamstrings). Last time out, Tanaka allowed two runs on six hits through 6 1/3 frames at Cleveland.
The Rays will recall Chirinos from Triple-A Durham to make his first Major League appearance since April 28. He went on the DL with a right forearm strain on May 1. He is 0-2 with a 4.96 ERA in nine Minor League starts this season.
