"We're fortunate that the X-rays were negative," manager Kevin Cash said. "That'd be a pretty big blow."
Feldman's 0-1 sinker ran too far inside and clipped the edge of Beckham's left hand near the knob of the bat. Beckham, who said he had never been hit on the hand by a pitch, immediately dropped the bat and hopped in the direction of the third-base dugout to collect himself.
"I definitely thought it was worse when it first happened," Beckham said. "I never like coming out of the game, but I couldn't hardly squeeze my glove, so I knew I wasn't going to be able to swing a bat.
