Wilson Ramos is returning to D.C. as the Rays player representative in the 2018 All-Star game. Ramos was a deserving name, and will be a starter in the event after taking the fan vote.
This is a moment to celebrate Ramos, who has given the Rays everything they bargained for when the signed him to a two-year rehabilitation deal after his unfortunate knee injury in 2016.
Ramos was named after winning the fan vote, with 2,359,726 votes, beating out the Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez. He has an American League best 47 RBI and trails only Max Stassi (HOU) with a 123 wRC+ in the AL.
