The Rangers and Astros will play their upcoming series this week, but it won't be in Houston. The teams will travel to St. Petersburg and play at Tropicana Field, Major League Baseball announced on Monday.
Because of the catastrophic flooding due to Hurricane Harvey in Houston, playing the series at Minute Maid Field was not an option. The teams will play on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:10 p.m. ET, and at 1:10 p.m. on Thursday. The Astros will be the designated home team for the series.
"The thoughts of the Texas Rangers organization are with all the individuals who have been affected by this devastating weather in South Texas and the Houston area," said Texas Rangers Foundation chairman and Rangers ownership committee chairman Neil Leibman.
