The Rays will call up their top prospect, left-hander Blake Snell, to start Saturday's game against the Yankees at Yankee Stadium, according to a report from the Tampa Bay Times.
The club has not confirmed the report.
Snell is rated the team's No. 1 prospect and the No. 12 prospect in baseball by MLBPipeline.com. He was selected in the first compensation round of the 2011 Draft by the Rays, 52nd overall.
The 23-year-old was scheduled to start Friday for Triple-A Durham. In three starts for the Bulls this season, Snell was 1-1 with a 2.
