The Clock is Ticking On C.J. Cron’s Time in a Rays Uniform.

Normally, we aren’t asking ourselves what to do with a right handed batter who hit a career high 30 home runs in 2018. But, here we are asking ourselves that very question as we head into what might be the most active and expensive offseason in Rays history.

Per Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, the Rays are “likely” to get rid of the slugging first baseman, C.J. Cron. Why? Well, due to the influx of young talent who aren’t arbitration eligible yet, the Rays have more financial flexibility than usual.
