The Tampa Bay Rays offense has been better than anyone could have expected this season. Buoyed by the surprising performances of Logan Morrison and Corey Dickerson, the Rays rank ninth in the majors with a .771 OPS. Their 113 homers rank second, trailing only the Houston Astros in baseball. That performance has helped Tampa Bay in their rise up the American League postseason standings.
However, for all of that production, the Rays are still struggling from the catcher spot. The combination of Derek Norris and Jesus Sucre has hit 11 homers, tied for eighth in the majors, but that is about the only production they are getting.
