Sarasota, FLA – The Tampa Bay Rays are in Manatee county to play the Baltimore Orioles. The team has a little more to worry about than the game at hand.
Two people in the Tampa Bay area tested positive for the coronavirus as announced by the health officials on Sunday. One patient is from Hillsborough County while the other is from Manatee County. The woman from Hillsborough County is in her 20s and had recently visited Northern Italy, which had an outbreak.
The team sent out a memo this morning encouraging players and staff to wash hands often and discouraged high-fiving and shaking hands with other players and fans.
