The Tampa Bay Rays selected JJ Goss out of Cypress Ranch High School in Houston, Texas with the 36th overall pick of the 2019 draft. Goss is committed to Texas A&M, but the Rays are hoping to lure him away. Here is what they got:

Goss lives 90-92 but has touched 96 MPH. The electric right hander has also showcased a plus slider and changeup as well as an advanced ability to throw strikes.
