Tampa Bay Rays Reportedly Interested in Sam Dyson

It is as though the past three years never happened. After emerging as a solid reliever in 2014, and becoming the Texas Rangers closer last season, Sam Dyson struggled mightily this year. Fresh off his appearance in the World Baseball Classic, Dyson imploded, posting a 1-6 record with a 10.80 ERA and a 2.580 WHiP in his 16.2 innings, walking 12 batters with just seven strikeouts.

However, that track record of success has to be enticing. As such, the Rangers are fully expecting that they will be able to trade their former closer, who they designated for assignment.
