Neil Solondz hosted his weekly ‘This Week in Rays Baseball’ podcast and spoke on a wide range of topics from the team’s offseason with the Vice President of Baseball Operations James Click.
Click addresses the Rays offseason plan with Neil and says they entered the winter wanting to score more runs without sacrificing defense, and (despite sending out Tommy Pham) thinks they currently have a roster they can feel good about from top to bottom.
With that being said, Click also mentions that the Rays are still in discussions with several available free agents — on both sides of the ball — with whom they’ve been in contact all offseason.
