The Rays lost last night, but the biggest scare for Rays fans was that Logan Forsythe, probably the team's best player so far this season, exited early in the game after being hit in the shoulder by a pitch. Forsythe took his base, but when he retook the field in the bottom of the inning found that he couldn't squeeze his glove.
The X-Rays were negative, and according to Bill Chastain, Forsythe is day-to-day.
"Got me in a bad spot," Forsythe said. "From what I understand, right now, it's kind of a nervy area on the back of the shoulder.
