Tampa Bay Rays fans woke up to quite a peculiar sight before Tuesday’s game. On MLB Network they cut live to a blanket of snow over the field at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
The Tampa Bay Rays and Kansas City Royals were gearing up for the second game in their three-game series when the forecast showed snow, quite a significant amount of it that piled up overnight.
Luckily, with most of the snowfall having already taken place, all that needed to be done was for Royals grounds crew members to clear off the snow from the field so baseball could be played that night.
