Seven companies bidding to create a redevelopment plan for the Tropicana Field site — with or without a new baseball stadium — will make their pitch today before a City of St. Petersburg committee.
The committee will review and rank proposals during a daylong meeting before members vote on the rankings it will send to the St. Petersburg City Council for approval.
City officials had invited development and consultant firms to submit their qualifications to be considered for development of a master plan of the 85-acre site on the western edge of downtown St. Petersburg.
