The Rays' outfield shuffle continues as Carlos Gomez has agreed to a one-year deal with the club, sources told MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez.
Gomez will receive $4 million plus incentives for the 2018 season, according to MLB Network insider Jon Heyman. The Rays have not confirmed the reports.
A day after trading Steven Souza Jr. and four days after designating 2017 All-Star Corey Dickerson for assignment, Gomez will provide an intriguing power-speed combination in an outfield corner.
Gomez, 32, slashed .255/.340/.462 for the Rangers with 17 home runs and 13 stolen bases while manning center field in 2017.
