Charlie Morton takes the hill for the Rays in their Saturday matinee against the Angels. The right-handed pitcher owns a 2.10 ERA and an undefeated 8-0 record through 14 starts this season.
In his last outing, Morton allowed only two hits over seven innings of work.
“We’re going to let (Morton) go deep, especially the way he’s throwing the ball,” said Rays manager Kevin Cash. “I don’t think we could ask much more of what Charlie Morton has provided to date, and hopefully that continues today.”
