Rays manager Kevin Cash said he disagreed with the MLB Network’s ranking of center fielders that had Kevin Kiermaier seventh.
Cash called it “stupid.’’
Kiermaier, after reporting Monday to camp, asked Cash for some clarification on what he thought was stupid.
“They asked me what I thought about it, and I said, ‘Well I would disagree with that,’ ” Cash said. “And he was kidding with me saying, ‘I hope you’re disagreeing because you think I should be closer to the top.’ And I said, ‘Well, let me see another spring and I’ll decide.’ ”
