Days after designating him for assignment, the Tampa Bay Rays traded infielder Brad Miller and cash considerations to the Milwaukee Brewers for first baseman Ji-Man Choi.

Miller, 28, was the odd man out when the team promoted first base prospect Jake Bauers to the majors. The veteran hit 30 home runs in 2016, but he has been unable to duplicate that performance since.
