In 1973, Tomas Perez is born. He spent 99 games with the Rays in 2006, and was pretty terrible as he slashed .212/.224/.286 good for 2 wRC+, and remarkably he walked just five times (2.0%) over 254 plate appearances. Perez however has cemented himself in the team's record book for hitting the most doubles in one game as he mashed four of them during five hit game and a 19-6 rout of the Yankees on July 29th, 2006.
