Rays swat four homers, but get walked off

NEW YORK -- Tyler Austin connected for a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Yankees continued their "nothing to lose" postseason push with a 5-4 victory over the Rays on Thursday at Yankee Stadium, marking the Bombers' 11th win in 15 games.

Brian McCann hit a pair of home runs in the victory for New York, going deep in the second and fourth innings off Rays starter Alex Cobb, who permitted four runs (three earned) and nine hits over six innings. The Yanks scored twice in the first inning as Didi Gregorius connected for a run-scoring single and Jacoby Ellsbury came home on a Cobb error.
