ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays may have lost more than a game Friday night at Tropicana Field.
The White Sox left with a 1-0 victory, but center fielder Kevin Kiermaier and second baseman Logan Forsythe left with injuries after colliding in short right field during the top of the fourth inning.
Forsythe suffered a bruised left hip and lower left leg, and the team said Kiermaier has a head contusion. He and Forsythe will be monitored over next 24 hours.
White Sox starter Chris Sale pitched a two-hitter as the Rays were shutout for the second straight game.
