Rays represented by McGriff, Huff on HOF ballot

ST. PETERSBURG -- Fred McGriff and Aubrey Huff will represent the Rays on this year's Hall of Fame ballot.

The list of nominees was released on Monday.

For McGriff, this is the ninth time he has appeared on the ballot. Huff is on the ballot for the first time.

Candidates must be named on 75 percent of the Baseball Writers' Association of America ballots in order to be elected. Results will be announced Jan. 24 at 6 p.m. ET on MLB Network.

McGriff was an original Devil Ray, starting at first base in the team's first game against the Tigers at Tropicana Field on March 31, 1998.
