BALTIMORE — The Rays nearly climbed out of an early four-run hole Sunday but couldn’t get that one big hit and lost 5-3 to the Orioles on a chilly afternoon at Camden Yards.
The Rays dropped to 2-4 on the season with their second straight loss.
Jake Odorizzi allowed four runs in the second inning, with the big hit being a two-run homer by Manny Machado.
The Rays crept back, beginning with Corey Dickerson’s third home run of the season, a solo shot in the fourth inning.
Tampa Bay added two runs in the fifth on RBI singles by Evan Longoria and Steve Pearce.
