With the news that Brendan McKay is back on the disabled list with an oblique injury, his season is almost certainly over. Last time, he missed just about a month between his last game before going on the DL and beginning his rehab assignment. In his first full season, he batted 242 times and pitched 78 1⁄3 innings.

Durham couldn’t muster enough offense in a 5-3 loss to Charlotte. In the third, Joe McCarthy hit an RBI double, and Brandon Snyder’s RBI groundout tied the game.
