Unfortunately, I missed most of the Futures Game, so I’m just going to assume Wander Franco’s single was a rocket off the bat. Ronaldo Hernandez was 0-for-2, but I’m sure it was still a great experience for him. Baseball America highlighted Franco and noted that windy conditions affected batting practice, which is typically as much of a highlight as the game itself.

Durham was shut out by Gwinnett, 7-0. All of the Stripers’ runs came on home runs. Jalen Beeks allowed four runs in five innings.
