Brendan McKay (Montgomery) made his season debut as a bulk guy with a scoreless 6.0 innings with nine strikeouts. Curtis Taylor (Montgomery) acted as the opener with two scoreless frames. Christian Arroyo and Michael Brosseau homered for Durham.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (27-17)
The Durham Bulls defeated the Norfolk Tides 8-4. The Tides rushed ahead 2-0 in the first. The Bulls answered with two in the third on RBI singles by Nick Ciuffo and Kean Wong. In the fourth Michael Brosseau put the Bulls ahead with a two run homer. After the Tides cut the lead to one the Bulls answered with two runs in the eighth.
