Vincent Byrd has had an interesting season for Princeton. He’s now tied for second on the team with eight home runs, and six of them have come in multi-home run games. The 20-year-old first baseman was the team’s 14th-round pick in 2017.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (67-54)
Austin Meadows’ home run was not enough in Durham’s 5-3 loss to Pawtucket. Meadows’ two-run homer cut the Bulls’ deficit to 4-3 in the top of the sixth, but Pawtucket got a run back in the bottom half of the inning. Only one Bull reached base over the final three innings.
