Rays prospects and minor leagues: Bats quiet

Rains and opposing pitchers kept Rays hitting prospects quiet. Nick Solak was the only batter who collected multiple hits and Vidal Brujan stole two bags.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (1-4)

The Durham Bulls fell to the Gwinnett Stripers 7-2. The Bulls offense was quieted by one of the Atlanta Braves top pitching prospects Kolby Allard. The Bulls collected four singles on the night with two by Nick Solak. Ryan Merritt didn’t make it out of the first inning after allowing six runs on seven hits. The Bulls bullpen allowed one run in 7.1 innings, but the damage had been done.
