ST. PETERSBURG -- Rays closer Alex Colome will go on the disabled and reliever Dana Eveland has been recalled to take his spot on the roster. Colome's stint on the DL is retroactive to June 19. He'd been perfect in his 19 save opportunities this season.
Colome has medial biceps tendinitis in his right arm. He doesn't anticipate his stay on the sidelines to extend past when he's eligible to come off in early July.
"It's not a month, it's not two weeks," Colome said. "It's like five days. It's good for me and my arm.
