SARASOTA — LHP Drew Smyly’s first outing of the spring fell in line with what the other members of the rotation have done through the first week of the Grapefruit League season. It was scoreless.
Smyly retired all six batters he faced Saturday night in his two innings against the Orioles at Ed Smith Stadium. He struck out the side to end his night. The Rays won 10-6.
