ST. PETERSBURG — RHP Jake Odorizzi turned in a solid performance during his final start of the season Thursday in the Rays’ 4-1 victory against the Marlins, played in front of 9,657 fans at Tropicana Field.
He did not allow an earned run in his seven innings and evened his season record at 9-9 with his third win in his last five starts.
3B Evan Longoria drove in two runs with his 21st home run of the season in the first inning and a run-scoring double in the seventh. LF Grady Sizemore drove in the other two runs.
