BALTIMORE — RHP Chris Archer has seen the recent headlines concerning his slow start and dip in velocity and finds them “comical.”
“I was throwing 92 to 96 last game instead of 94-97, and it’s a big deal. My slider was 85 to 88 instead of 86 to 90 and it’s a big deal. I don’t know why.” Archer said. “I think people just need something to talk about, something to write about. Something to justify me having not the greatest start.”
Archer is 0-2 this season with a 7.20 ERA in his two starts. He’s 0-5 with a 6.
