CLEVELAND -- The Rays announced Friday afternoon catcher Adam Moore has been recalled from Triple-A Durham while Michael Perez was placed on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to Aug. 29, with a left hamstring strain.
The rookie catcher left Tuesday's 9-5 loss against the Braves with the injury and has been sidelined since. Since being acquired from the D-backs on July 25, Perez has appeared in 24 games, hitting .284/.304/.392. Moore has appeared in two games with the Rays this season, and is slashing .219 with a .607 OPS in 58 games with the Bulls.
