BOSTON — Though some were sad to see their friends traded away, Kevin Kiermaier said the Rays players as a group were excited by the acquisitions their bosses made to improve the team by Wednesday’s trade deadline.
“We got some really good talent coming to us, that’s very exciting news to think about,’’ Kiermaier said. “The moves (Wednesday) and (getting Eric Sogard on Sunday) let us know the front office has our back and they’re trying just as hard as we are to give us the best chance of winning each and every day.’’
