The Rays dropped RHP Andrew Kittredge and veteran LHP Vidal Nuno from their 40-man roster to create more needed space.
Both cleared outright waivers; Kittredge will stay in the organization as he was sent to Triple-A Durham, Nuno became a free agent.
The Rays needed the space to reinstate four players from the 60-day DL: INF Daniel Robertson; RHPs Jose De Leon, Wilmer Font and Jose Mujica.
That leaves their roster at 39, and they will need to clear more space as they have four-six prospects to add by the Nov. 20 deadline to be protected from selection in the Rule draft.
