Rays choose Louisville 1B McKay 4th overall

ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays have selected University of Louisville left-hander/first baseman Brendan McKay with the No. 4 pick of the 2017 MLB Draft.

When the Rays announced their selection, they identified the two-way player as a first baseman.

This is Tampa Bay's highest pick since selecting Tim Beckham with the No. 1 pick of the 2008 Draft.
