MINNEAPOLIS — After missing nearly two months last season because of injury, Rays centerfielder Kevin Kiermaier has stayed healthy this year.
As the Rays reach the official midseason mark after Thursday’s game, no player is feeling 100 percent physically.
Still, the Rays are starting to get healthy. Infielder Joey Wendle returned from the IL earlier this month, and infielder Yandy Diaz returned for Thursday’s series finale in Minnesota.
But Kiermaier’s early exit Thursday against the Twins offers a new level of concern.
Kiermaier started in centerfield and batted seventh, but left following his first at-bat in the second inning with what the team called lower right leg tightness.
