First baseman Logan Morrison was 2-for-25 and shortstop Brad Miller was 2-for-23 following Wednesday’s game, but Rays manager Cash said he’s not ready to bench either.
“Not really,” Cash said. “Haven’t even discussed it.”
Cash referenced SS Asdrubal Cabrera, who got off to a slow start last season then came on at the end. Cabrera, though, hit .209 in April. Morrison and Miller weren’t above .100 entering Wednesday.
“These guys are going to get going,” Cash said. “We don’t have a doubt in our mind. These guys are going to contribute.”
